Once the building work is finished, there is usually a lot more left behind than just visible dust. Fine construction dust settles everywhere, along with tape, stickers, marks and residue from the final stages of the build.
Our New Build Cleaning service focuses on getting the property properly cleaned and presented so it is ready for handover, sale or move-in.
What’s usually included
Every build is different, but a typical new build clean may include:
- Removal of fine construction dust from accessible surfaces
- Detailed cleaning of skirting boards, doors and door frames
- Cleaning of light switches, fittings and accessible fixtures
- Kitchen surfaces, cabinetry exteriors and splashbacks cleaned
- Bathrooms thoroughly cleaned and sanitised
- Inside empty cupboards, drawers and shelving wiped down
- Floors vacuumed and mopped
- Window tracks and frames cleaned where accessible
- Stickers, tape and light adhesive residue removed where reasonably possible
- Dust and residue removed from newly finished surfaces with appropriate care
- Walls and accessible surfaces wiped down to remove construction dust where suitable
- Final presentation check before handover or move-in
Heavy paint, plaster, silicone or adhesive residue may need to be assessed separately depending on the condition of the property.
The finishing details matter
Construction dust has a way of getting into places you would not expect.
A New Build Clean usually needs more detail and time than a regular house clean, especially around cabinetry, skirting boards, fittings, tracks and newly finished surfaces.
